Jesus proved that through the power of the Holy Spirit, anything is possible. The book of Mark is a book set in the context of Rome and is an action-oriented book more of what Jesus did rather than what he said. This series explores Jesus' actions throughout Mark and shows us how Jesus is in the process of changing us more and more.
The story of Jesus’ birth is one that gives us hope, peace and joy. Yet stories are often glamorized or embellished over the years and we wind up requiring proof of their validity. Shortly after the birth, there were people who worshiped the proof (rags, clothes, the location, etc.) rather than Jesus himself, and that form or worship continues to this day. The proof of the birth of Christ is from those who witnessed the event. Their multiple accounts of the story, written in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, is all the proof we need.
Natural Church Development (NCD) is all about releasing the potential that God has already implanted in our lives. Earlier in the year, we explored the 8 characteristics of a healthy church. As part of NCD a recent survey among our church population revealed one of our weakest characteristics. NCD helps us to strengthen that weakest area in order to maintain a healthy church. This series explores biblical references to the 8 characteristics of a healthy church as well as the references needed to strengthen our faith.
